Allen Don McCune

Allen Don McCune, age 84, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Newton Presbyterian Manor. Allen was born April 15, 1938 in Salina, Kansas the son of Donald Craig and Florence Maria Johnson McCune.

Allen graduated from Salina High School, later graduating from Ft. Hays State College and the University of South Dakota.

Allen served in the United States Army and later moved to Newton in 1972.

Through the years, Allen taught Psychology at the University of Kansas, Kansas State University, Wichita State University, the University of Missouri, and Hutchinson Community College, retiring in 1992.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents.

At Allen’s request, his body has been donated to the University of Kansas Medical School. There will be no services.

Contributions may be given to the Good Samaritan Fund of Newton Presbyterian Manor.

Broadway Colonial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
