Rebecca “Becky” Ann Hjorth, 64, passed away February 24, 2013 in Peabody, Kansas after a brief illness.
She was born January 24, 1949 in New London, Connecticut, daughter of Dean and Betty (Flora) Hjorth.
She grew up in Overland Park, Kansas and graduated from Bird City High School, was a Job’s Daughter, and later became a Kansas Certified EMT. She married Larry R. Smith on March 7, 1969, and later married Bill Doolittle.
She was preceded in death by her father Dean Hjorth and her brother John Dean Hjorth.
Survivors include sons: Jason Smith of Newton, Toby (Alicia) Smith of Goessel, Timothy Williams of Park City; daughters: Terri Jones of Newport Minnesota, Amy Smith (Dalton) Stutzman of Newton , and Carissa Williams of Victoria; and her mother Betty Hjorth of Overland Park, Ks.
Other survivors include grandchildren: Karisa, Jordan and Kylie all of Minnesota, Cain, Dylan and Lydia of Goessel, Madison and Dawson of Newton, and one great grandchild Bentley of Minnesota.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 1, 2013 at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home at 11am, visitation with family will be 9-11am on Friday. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery.
