Billy Dean Alexander,74, died on October 30, 2009 at the Kansas Christian Home in Newton, Kansas.
He was born on December 14, 1934 to Willie Mae (Higgins) and Billy Dean Alexander, Sr. in Newton, Kansas.
Billy was a regular attendee of the Hall’s Chapel AME, Newton, Kansas.
He graduated from WSU with a Business Administration Degree. Billy was a salesman for Pitney Bowes for over 20 years. He also was the owner of several businesses including insulation and landscaping.
Billy held a lifetime membership with the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
Survivors include his wife, Dona, of Newton; two daughters, Diana Alexander and Karen Alexander; four brothers, Milfred Alexander, John Alexander, LeEster Alexander and Vernon Dangerfield; one sister, Angela Dangerfield, and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a sister, Ruby Bell and a great-niece, Dominique Johnson.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at Trinity Heights United Methodist Church in Newton.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kappa Alpha Psi in care of the funeral home.
