Brett Lee McAnulty, 58, died Saturday (August 26, 2017) at his home in Newton after a courageous fight with cancer.
The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 P.M., Thursday, (August 31, 2017) with the Mass of Christian Burial being held at 10:00 A.M., Friday (September 1, 2017) both at St. Mary Catholic Church in Newton. Private family inurnment will be held later at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
The casket will be open at the church after 1:00 P.M., on Thursday.
Brett was born on September 10, 1958 in Wichita, Kansas the son of Melvin L. and Donna R. Westervelt McAnulty. The most of his life was spent living in Newton where he graduated from Newton High School in 1977. He married Karen S. Hanke on June 26, 1982 in Newton.
He had worked for Boeing/Spirit Aircraft in Wichita for many years as a Production Manager. Brett was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife Karen of the home; daughter Jenna Lehrman and husband Luke of Newton; son Brian McAnulty of Austin, Tx; parents Melvin and Donna of Newton; brothers Barry McAnulty and wife Janene of Lee Summit, Mo., Todd McAnulty and wife Penny of Newton, and Mark McAnulty of Newton; and granddaughters Adalynn and Emily Lehrman.
A memorial has been established with the St. Mary Catholic School and Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice. Contributions may be sent to Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, 120 E. Broadway, Newton, Ks. 67114.
