Carol Atys Frary, 78, died Sunday (December 15, 2013) at her home in Newton.
She was born on February 1, 1935 in Bellaire, Ohio, the daughter of Charles Allison and Roxie Dell Weidman Boyd.
She married William Leslie Frary. During his time in the military they made the home across the country. For several years they lived in Colorado where she owned and operated a flower shop for 20 years. Sometime after his death Carol moved to Florida.
Carol had recently moved from Florida to live with her daughters in Newton,Ks.
Survivors include her sons Joe Frary of Aurora, Colorado and John Frary of Pueblo, Colorado; daughters Rebecca Carlson and Elizabeth Ann Briggs both of Newton; daughter-in-law Tamara Perkins of Newton; along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and son William Allen Frary.
As per her request, Carol's body was donated to the K.U. Medical Center for research.
Private family services will be held at a later date in Colorado.
Arrangements are by Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, Newton.
