Charles Donald Casey, 82, passed away February 2, 2025 at Kansas Christian Home. He was born on January 16,1943 in Newton, Kansas. He was the youngest of seven born to Frank and Bertha (Squier) Casey. He married Pauline Jean (Bright) on July 4, 1963. She preceded him in death on September 12, 2024. He was also preceded in death by his five sisters and one brother. Charles was a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Newton.

Charles worked for the Coleman Company/York Industries in the heating and air conditioning department from high school graduation until retirement. He received an award for designing a “gang hook” allowing painters to paint many parts at once. Charles enjoyed traveling with Pauline, seeing and visiting with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, fishing, bowling, and playing the lottery.

Charles is survived by his three children: Christine (Henry) Sander of Stockton, Kansas; Charles “Chuck” Casey of Kansas City, Missouri; Candace Koirth (Bob Kenworthy) of Pratt, Kansas. Seven grandchildren and their spouses: Crystal (Sander) Dunlap and Jesse Dunlap of Stockon, Kansas; Brett and Traci Sander of Stockton, Kansas; Ashley (Koirth) and Colin Little of Pratt, Kansas; Sydney (Koirth) and Thomas Parsons of Pratt, Kansas; Holden Kenworthy and Adriana McMillan of Derby, Kansas; Layton and Katherine Kenworthy of Stafford, Kansas; and Dalton Kenworthy of Coats, Kansas. Nine great grandchildren: Jaxon Dunlap, Rayland and Lenox Sander, Weston and Brogan Little, Gavin and Ella Parsons, Jason and Graham Kenworthy, and another Kenworthy baby due in July.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 20, 2025, from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home. Rosary will be prayed Friday, February 21, 2025 at 10:00 A.M., St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will follow the Rosary at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Memorials are suggested to the Knights of Columbus, Kansas Christian Home Legacy of John, or Good Shepherd Hospice. Please make checks payable to the memorial of your choice and send in care of the funeral home.
