Chong Son Foltz, 57, of Newton, died Sunday (Nov. 25, 2012) at the Harry Hynes Hospice of Via Christi Regional Medical Center-St. Francis Campus in Wichita, Ks.
She was born on September 17, 1955 in Seoul, Korea. Chong married Robert Foltz on April 27, 1983 in Seoul, they moved to the United States in June 1984.
For 13 years, she worked at her sister’s restaurant, Chong’s, in Newton. She attended both the Korean United Methodist Church in Wichita and the First United Methodist Church in Newton.
Survivors include her husband, Robert of the home in Newton; daughter Teresa Xayavongsy and husband Don of Wichita; her mother Eunyeon Park of Derby; brothers Eun Choe and Hong Choe of Wichita; sisters Chong Hee Spreier and husband Joe of Poulsbo, Washinton and Kyung Hee Choe of Korea.
Chong is preceded in death by her father, Kipong Choe.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday (Nov. 29, 2012) at the Broadway Colonial Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Restlawn Gardens of Memory in Newton.
