Daisy D. (Mosiman) Herbison, 86, passed away on June 3, 2011 in Wichita, Kansas. She was born on May 29, 1925 to Tobias and Mildred (Byrd) Richert in Bloomfield, MT.
She had been currently enjoying being a retiree. Earlier in her lifetime she worked at Mid-Continent Cabinetry and most recently was a clerk and greeter at Walmart in Newton.
Daisy enjoyed the time she could spend with past co-workers and friends. Her pride and passion were her family and family in Christ. She held a church membership with the First Church of God, Newton.
Her hobbies included sewing, camping, cooking and most importantly, spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids with their sports activities and hobbies.
Preceding her in death were her brothers, Raymond and Benjamin Richert, sisters, Betty Matz and Mary “Mickey” Christensen, son-in-law Eugene Schmidt and granddaughters, Alicia Schmidt and April Smith.
Her surv0ivors are 3 sons, Bill Mosiman (Liz) of Moundridge, Ben (Janet) Mosiman, Newton, Russell (Christine) Mosiman, Olathe; 4 daughters, Bonnie Schmidt, Newton, Pat (Gene) Embry, Fort Collins, CO, Sharon (Randall) Hoskins, Emporia and Vickie (David) Voth, Hutchinson; 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Church of God, 620 Fairview, Newton, Kansas.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 from 1:00 to 9:00 P.M. with the family greeting from 6:00- 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Burial will be at the First Missionary Church Cemetery, near Elbing, KS following the service.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the First Church of God, Building Fund, in care of the funeral home.
