Dallas Kaye Matzenbacher, 59, died Monday (December 9, 2013) at the Newton Medical Center.
He was born on October 15, 1954 in Newton. Dallas was raised and attended schools in Newton, after which he spent time in the military.
He married Debra Lee Schultz in December 6, 1985 in Newton. They lived in Tulsa for several years where Dallas had done construction work.
Survivors include his wife Debra Schultz; son Arron Schultz Matzenbacher; daughter Careth Lee Matzenbacher all of Tulsa; brothers Mike Sutherland, Mark Sutherland and Greg Sutherland all of Newton; uncle and aunt Glen and Hazel Spielman of Newton.
Dallas is preceded in death by his father, Bill Matzenbacher, and mother, Jean Louise (Spielman) Sutherland.
A time of remembrance will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday (December 19, 2013) at the Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, Newton.
There will be no visitation as cremation has been effected.
Arrangements are by Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, Newton.
