Deborah Ann Hazeltine, 59, died Tuesday (June 24, 2014) at her home in Newton.
She was born on September 27, 1954 in Wichita, Ks., the daughter of Vernon Richard and Betty Lou Dooley Hazeltine. Despite having been born handicapped, Deborah enjoyed life. The Hazeltine’s had lived in Wichita for many years, moving to Newton in the late 1980’s.
Deborah enjoyed traveling with her parents to Canada, California, and many trips to Colorado. She enjoyed reading and gospel music. She attended Grace Community Church in Newton and the New Anthem Community Church in Park City.
She is survived by her parents Vernon and Betty Hazeltine of the home in Newton; brother Richard Hazeltine and wife Luanne of Newton; sisters Karen Carlson and husband David of Savonger, Ks., and Diana Hemken and husband Ed of Derby, Ks.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday (June 30, 2014) at the Grace Community Church in Newton.
Graveside and interment services will be held at 2:30 P.M., Monday at the Veteran’s Cemetery in Winfield, Ks.
Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday 1pm til 5pm where the family will receive friends between 2 and 4.
