Delores Marie Anduss, 83, of North Newton, died Wednesday (March 5, 2014) at the Newton Medical Center.
She was born on March 9, 1930 in Wichita, Ks., the daughter of Alfred David and Florence Eva Warrell Wolf.
Delores married Edward Thomas Anduss on May 28, 1976 in Eminence, Missouri. They moved to Walton, Ks. until moving to North Newton in 1998. He died on March 19, 1999.
Delores had been a cook at the Corner Lunch in Newton for several years. She had been a member of the Walton Methodist Church and had been a care provider for several people through the years.
Survivors include her children Chester Darby and wife Shirley of Topeka, Ks., Thelma Downey of Wichita, Dennis Twombly and wife Pamela of Peabody, Ks., and Ginger Garcia of Newton; step-sons Lynn Anduss and wife Sally of Ft. Collins, Colo., and Reign Anduss of Marion, Ks.; nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
Delores is preceded in death by her parents; husbands; four brothers; and three sisters.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday (March 10, 2014) at the Walton Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday 1pm til 6pm where the family will receive friends between 2 and 4, the casket will also be open on Monday 9am til 1pm.
A memorial has been established with the Walton Methodist Church, contributions may be sent to Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, 120 E. Broadway, Newton, Ks. 67114.
