Delores W. Koehn, 87, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on July 23, 2016 at the Newton Presbyterian Manor, Newton, KS.

Delores was born on September 9, 1928 on the family farm southeast of Ellinwood, KS as the only daughter and youngest of the five children born to Delbert W. and Alice V. (Burchart) Bryant.

She grew up learning hard work on the farm, graduating from Ellinwood High School and then Emporia State Teachers College. She took a job as a high school girls gym teacher in Liberal, KS. There she met Adolph Koehn and they were married on July 4, 1952. They moved to Newton, KS in 1953 where Adolph was employed at The Newton Kansan.

Delores worked at several part time and seasonal jobs over the years. Her longest duration was at Egan Income Tax Service and Alco Discount Store. Her greatest joys were in the home raising her daughters and caring for her husband. She was also a life long Bible teacher in Sunday Schools and Vacation Bible Schools, Bible Release classes in public schools, and Bible Correspondence courses with Source of Light ministries in Newton. She was a member and faithfully attended Newton Bible Church until entering Presbyterian Manor when her health declined.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Adolph W. Koehn, her parents, Delbert and Alice Bryant, her brothers Virgil, Clarence and Lloyd Bryant.

Survivors include her three daughters and their husbands, Mary and Dennis Krueger, Taiwan, Deanna and Rich Duerksen, McPherson, Judy and Don Reimer, Hillsboro; 13 grandchildren; three great grand-sons; two great grand-daughters soon to be born; a brother Ralph Bryant, Hutchinson; and two sister-in-law’s, Donna Bryant, Ellinwood and Dahna Regier and husband Bill, Newton.
Funeral Services will be on Friday, July 29th, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Newton Bible Church.

Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. at Greenwood Cemetery, prior to the funeral service.

Visitation will be held at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, from 1:00-8:00 P.M. with the family present from 6:00-8:00 P.M.
