Diana M. Bueno, 61, died on May 20, 2014 in Newton, Kansas.
She was born on February 20, 1953, in Fort Chaffee, Arkansas the daughter of Louise T. (Terrones) and Eugene N. Morales.
Diana married Louis R. Bueno, Sr. on May 27, 1972 at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Newton, Kansas.
She graduated from Newton High School in 1971 and then went on to attend Brown Mackie College in Salina, Kansas. She worked as Patient Financial Services officer at the Newton Medical Center in Newton, Kansas.
Diana was very involved with her church, Our Lady Guadalupe Catholic Church and also was a part of the Altar Society. She was also active with the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy. She had many hobbies and blessings in her lifetime, her family being number one. Diana was a very loving and kind hearted daughter, mother, sister and aunt. She enjoyed taking walks and her arts and crafts.
Diana was preceded in death by her father Eugene N. Morales and her paternal grandparents.
Survivors include her husband, Louis R. Bueno, Sr.; two sons, Louis R. Bueno, Jr., Kansas City, MO and Paul M. Bueno, Newton; a daughter and son-in-law, Maria E. (Eduardo) Velazco, Newton; brother, Dan (Rita) Morales, Wichita; two sisters, Cecilia (Bill) Clary, St. Joe, MO. And Teresa (Kyle) Schmitz, Stuartsville, MO; grandchildren, Marisa E. Bueno, Anthony E. Velazco, Victoria M. Velazco, Alexander Bueno, Jaylianne Bueno and Micaela Bueno, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorials can be made to the Diana M. Bueno Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home, 120 E Broadway, and Newton, KS, 67114
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2014, at Our Lady of Guadalupe from 4:00 P.M.-7:00P.M., with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 P.M. led by Father Juan Garza.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, May 22, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Burial will follow at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Newton, KS.
