Donald Wayne Walker, Jr., 52, of Newton, died Friday (Nov. 9, 2012) at the Via Christi Regional Medical Center-St. Francis Campus in Wichita as the result of an automobile accident.
He was born on January 14, 1960 in Bakersfield, California, the son of Donald and Loretta Moore Walker, Sr.
Don had served in the U.S. Army. For several years he had lived in Arkansas City where he worked at the Prairie Land Processing. He moved to Walton in 2003 and into Newton in 2010.
More recently Don had been a machinist at Moridge Manufacturing in Moundridge.
Survivors include sons Michael, Donald and Jeremie all of Newton; daughter Jeanna Middleton of Wellington; brother Gregory of Newton; sisters Debra Johnson and Donna Walker both of Walton, Mary Walker of Newton, and Terri Boisen of Benton, Ks.; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Wednesday (Nov. 14, 2012) at the Broadway Colonial Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Walton Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday 9am til 8pm and Wednesday 9am til service time.
