Doris I. Frazey, 78, of Newton, died Monday (May 17, 2010) at the Presbyterian Manor in Newton.
She was born on January 16, 1932 in Newton, the daughter of Andrew and Emma Schlagowsky. Doris graduated from Newton High School in 1950.
She married Lester Frazey in 1962. As he worked for General Motors, they lived in several places. At the time of Lester’s death on March 2, 1985, they were living in Tyler, Texas. Doris returned to Newton shortly there after.
Doris was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, she had worked at Midland National Bank, the Harvey County Extension Office and Central Home Care & Hospice.
Survivors include her three sisters Alice TenEyck, Rita Schlagowsky, and Erna O’Keefe all of Newton; three step-sons David Frazey of Eloy, Ariz., Charles Frazey of Wichita, and Steven Frazey of Bozeman, Mont.; seven step-grandchildren; and 11 step-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M., Tuesday (May 18, 2010) at the Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday (May 19, 2010) at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday 5pm til 9pm.
