Doris Jeannette Wedel died on January 8, 2015, in Overland Park, Kansas.
She was born on May 8, 1929 at the former Bethel Hospital, in Newton, Kansas to Augusta (Kater) and Geo Samuel “George” Mull.
Doris married Harold Wedel on September 30th, 1950, at the Goessel Mennonite Church in Goessel, Kansas. She held church membership with the Baptist Evangelical Free Church in Newton, Kansas, before she relocated to Overland Park, Kansas. After Harold and Doris moved, they attended Indian Heights United Methodist Church.
Doris was a very loving and caring mother. She enjoyed spending time and enjoying activities with her.
For 27 years, Doris was the server at the Roadway Inn, in Overland Park.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Augusta and George Mull; and her spouse Harold Wedel on November 16, 2012.
Survivors include a daughter, Stephanie G. Molina, Overland Park, KS; son, Timothy K. Wedel, Overland Park; brother, Daniel Curtis Mull, Brooklyn, MI; 2 sisters, Neva Ann Mull Nelson, Newton and Eunice Mull Grimm, Parker, CO; 3 grandchildren, Wesley R. Molina, Casey L. Molina and Anna M. Molina.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 14, at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow the visitation on Wednesday, beginning at 12:00noon.
Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Newton, Kansas.
