Doris Martha (Northrop) Tedder, 86, died February 21, 2010 at the Newton Medical Center.
She was born on January 30, 1924 to Walter Evertt and Elvira (Meredith) Northrop.
Doris married Howard Clifford Tedder on August 31, 1941.
She held a membership with the First Church of the Nazarene, Newton, KS.
Doris worked at (Friendly Acres) Asbury Park for many years. When she retired she went to work for Senior Home Healthcare, which she loved.
Doris loved her family dearly, and sewed many items for them over the years. Her other hobbies included quilting and gardening. She loved helping on the family reunion committee’s for the Tedder and Northrop families.
Survivors include, Clifford L. Tedder and wife Connie, Austin, TX, Grady Tedder and wife Shirley, Newton, Barry Tedder, Inman, KS, Nancy Bryant, Newton, KS, Calvin and wife Marianne, Ottawa, KS, Phylis Malcolm and husband Mike, Hesston, KS, Ken Tedder, Wichita, KS , Loren Tedder and wife Lori, North Newton, KS and Steven Tedder and wife Marianne, Allen, TX; 23 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 2 Great Great Grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her spouse, a son-in-law, Robert Earl Bryant II; daughter-in-law Carol Tedder; and great granddaughter Cassandra Tedder.
Services will be held on Friday, February 26, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Church of the Nazarene.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, Newton, from 1:00 P.M. to 9 P.M., with the family greeting from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.
Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Newton, Kansas.
