Dorothy J. Androes, 83, died Wednesday (Feb. 2, 2011) at the Grace Living Center in Norman, Okla.
Dorothy was born in Hutchinson, Ks., on March 19, 1927, the daughter of Lloyd and Blanche McConnaughey Clothier. She married Leslie E. Androes on August 4, 1946 in Newton.
She and Les enjoyed traveling together throughout the United States. She had been a member of the First Christian Church in Newton. Dorothy moved from Newton to Norman in July 2010 to be close to her daughter.
Survivors include daughter Sharon Heath and husband Bruce of Norman, Okla; son Steven Androes of Fairbanks, Alaska; grandsons John Edmunds of Norman, Christopher, Brandon and Kyle Androes of Fairbanks; granddaughter Danielle Androes of Fairbanks; great grandsons Josiah and Aiden Androes of Fairbanks; along with many other family members and friends.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; husband Les on Dec. 25, 2007; and sister Elizabeth Stahl.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday (Feb. 5, 2010) at the First Christian Church in Newton. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday 5pm til 8pm where the family will receive friends between 6 and 7.
