Dorothy May Dreier

Dorothy May (Steiner) Dreier, 93, died Monday (Sept. 14, 2009) at Schowalter Villa in Hesston, Ks.

Dorothy was born on May 17, 1916 in Walton, Ks., the daughter of Albert and Anna King Steiner. She attended schools in Newton. Dorothy was united in marriage to Delbert F. Dreier on April 3, 1934 at the Highland United Church of Christ near Newton, Ks.

She was a farm wife for many years, Dorothy had also worked as a cook in the Hesston and Newton School Systems. She enjoy many years as a cake decorator.

Dorothy had been a member of the Highland United Church of Christ and in recent years had been attending Kingdom Life Ministries in Hesston. She had been lived at Schowalter since 2005.

Survivors include three sons Vernon F. Dreier of Hesston, Galen P. Dreier of Newton, and Curtis M. Dreier of Columbia, Mo.; two daughters Luella Deane Frey of Newton and
Yvonne Ann Messamore of Ft. Smith, Ark.; one sister Helen Cook of The Dalles, Oreg.;
21 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; husband Delbert in February, 1996; one son LeRoy D. Dreier; three brothers Ervin Steiner, Paul Steiner, Raymond Steiner; and two sisters Lillian Molzen and Florence Fowler.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM, Thursday (Sept. 17, 2009) at Schowalter Villa in Hesston, Ks.

Private family interment will be held at the Highland Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday 1pm til 9pm where the family will receive friends 6pm til 7:30pm.
