Edward Reimer, 76, died on March 21, 2014 at the Harry Hynes Hospice in Wichita, Kansas.
He was born on June 16, 1937 to Henry and Maria (Hildebrand) Reimer.
Edward married Barbara Wagner on June 26, 1955 in Walton, Kansas. She survives of the home.
Edward held a membership with the First United Church of Christ of Newton, Kansas.
He enjoyed helping his son Daryl, and spent many hours on the farm. He and Barbara did a lot of camping in previous years, creating wonderful memories with their family. Edward loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed.
Other survivors include two sons, Roger Reimer and Daryl (Teri) Reimer, and a daughter, Janene Reimer-Mabrey; four granddaughters, Angela Reimer-Ruiz, Ashley Mabrey, Melanie Mabrey,and Valerie Reimer; one grandson, Robert Mabrey; two great granddaughters, Haylee Ruiz and Kaylee Reimer; sister Annie Fulk; many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, three sisters and brother-in-laws, Olga (Irvin) Friesen, Edna (Otto) Eck and Irma (Clint) Robbins; one brother and sister-in-law, Elmer (Ann) Reimer; and brother-in-law Loren Fulk.
Visitation will be held at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home on March 25, 2014, from 1:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Family will greet from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
Services will be held on Wednesday, March 26th, 2014 at 10:30 A.M., at the First United Church of Christ, 210 E. 4th, and Newton, Kansas. The Reverend John Werner will be presiding.
Memorials can be made to the First United Church of Christ or Harry Hynes Hospice in care of the funeral home at 120 E. Broadway, Newton, Kansas, 67114.
Burial will be at the Walton Cemetery
