Floyd Wright

Floyd Eugene Wright, 82, died Monday (February 16, 2015) at the Kidron Bethel Village in North Newton, Ks.

He was born on May 4, 1932 in Iola, Kansas, the son of Jack and Edith Anderson Wright. As a child, the family moved to Newton where he attended schools.

Floyd married Alberta McClellan on October 5, 1956 in Ponca City, Oklahoma. They lived in Newton. She died on December 17, 1998.

For several years Floyd owned and operated a refuse disposal business in Newton until retiring and selling it to the Stutzman’s in Hutchinson. Floyd enjoying taking care of his grandchildren and watching Western movies.

Survivors include his children Keith Wright and Robin Tucker of Wichita; grandchildren Antoine Roland, Christine Hollins and Alberta Mathews; several great grandchildren; and sisters Carolyn Ford and Helen McClellan of Newton and Gloria Lawson of Oakland, Ca.

Floyd is preceded in death by his parents; wife; and two sisters Sylvia Walker and Shirley Marshall.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday (February 27, 2015) at the chapel of Kidron Bethel in North Newton.

There will be no visitation or viewing as cremation has been effected.

Arrangements are by Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, Newton.
