George F. Brueggeman, 81, died on March 1, 2010 at his home in Newton, Kansas.
He was born on August 9, 1928, in Parsons, Kansas, the son of John and Elsie Brueggeman. During the Korean Conflict, George was stationed in Alaska.
On October 7, 1956, he married Beverly Pickett in Parsons, Kansas. She died on March 15, 2008.
George had worked 30 + years at Cessna Aircraft Company in Wichita until retiring in 1988. He had been an active member of the American Legion.
Survivors include a son, John, Wichita; 2 daughters, Denise Siemens, Salina, and Mona Clark and husband Paul, Newton; 3 grandchildren, Jessica Bowman and husband Aaron, Chicago, IL and Ian and Aaron Clark, Newton; a brother David Brueggeman of Nevada, Mo.; and three sisters Alice Loyd of Eudora, Ks., Gloria Holler of Kansas City, Mo., and Dorothy Brueggeman of Olathe, Ks.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two brothers John and Paul; and two sisters Francis Holler and Mildred Hazel.
There will be a book signing at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home on Thursday March 4th, 2010 from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
Memorial Services will be Friday, March 5th, at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Good Shepard Hospice in care of the funeral home.
