George Stanley Ammann, 74, of Newton, died Monday (July 27, 2009) at the Kansas Christian Home in Newton.
He was born on July 9, 1935 in Alliance, Nebraska, the son of George A. and Zenita E. Symms Ammann.
From 1957 til 1960, he served in the U. S. Air Force. He had lived in Newton for several years and had worked as a taxi cab driver.
He is survived by a daughter Rebecca Johnson.
Memorial services will be held at 10:45 AM, Thursday (July 30, 2009) at the Kansas Christian Home with Mr. Emerson Gillett officiating. Private inurnment will be held at the Greenwood Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
A memorial has been established with the Kansas Christian Home, contributions may be sent to Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, 120 E. Broadway, Newton, KS. 67114.
