Gerald W. Loomis, 79, of Newton, died Saturday (September 30, 2017) in Newton.
He was born on December 29, 1937 in Newton, the son of Preston and Nelle Brechbill Loomis. Gerry graduated from Newton High School in 1955.
He had served as a Sheriff Deputy on the Harvey County Sheriff Dept. for several years retiring in 2003.
Survivors include his children Faith Loomis of Newton, Brad Hall of Newton, Todd Hall of Wichita, Craig Hall of Clearwater, and Stephanie Regier of Goessel; brother Preston “Moe” Loomis of Lyons; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Gerry is preceded in death by his parents; brother Marlow “Bob” Loomis; and sister Vivian Cook.
Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday (October 11, 2017) from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
