Glenn Lee Bright, 65, of Newton, died Monday (Feb. 1, 2010) at the Newton Medical Center.
He was born on April 21, 1944 in Kingswood, Bristol, England, the son of Glenn Evans and Daisy Smith Bright. The family moved to United States when he was an infant. Glenn was raised in Newton and graduated from Newton High School in 1962.
Glenn married Lynda Jeanne Davis on January 22, 1966 in Newton. He loved his many years working at Excel Industries in Hesston. He was a member of the Grace Community Church and enjoyed spending time with his racing friends at BackStretch Racing.
Survivors include his wife Lynda; two daughters Brenda and Brandi; two son-in-law’s Ernie and Ian; granddaughters Aubrey and Alexa; sister Pauline; and brother Charley.
Glenn is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday (Feb. 4, 2010) at the Broadway Colonial Funeral Home in Newton. Interment will be in the Peabody Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday 1pm til 8pm.
