Gregory Thomas Klein, 54, of Newton, died Thursday (April 2, 2009) at his home.
Greg was born on December 1, 1954 in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, the son of Thomas and Lorraine Klein. He lived in the Sleepy Eye area until moving to Newton 35 years ago.
For the last 25 years Greg had been a dedicated worker and Parts Manager at Midwest Aircraft. He married Nancy Kaye Siefka on October 21, 2005 in Newton.
Greg attended the Newton Christian Church, was a member of Sons of the American Legion, Knights of Columbus, and the N.R.A. He had enjoyed hunting, fishing and shooting, a true American, Greg enjoyed helping others.
This past year Greg’s battle with kidney cancer had been eased by the gracious staff at the Cancer Center of Kansas.
Survivors include his wife Nancy and step-son Dustin of the home; three children Jason Klein, Alicia Klein, and Ashley Klein; two brothers Ted Klein, his wife Lynn and their daughter Rhiannon of Culver, Minn., and Steve Klein. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday (April 6, 2009) at the Newton Christian Church with the Rev. Doug Ingmire officiating.
There will be no visitation as cremation has been effected.
