Harry Donald Hinton, Jr., 76, died Thursday (February 8, 2018) at Schowalter Villa in Hesston, Ks.
He was born on November 9, 1941 in Newton, Ks., the son of Harry Dodson and Agnes Zarnowski Hinton, Sr.
Harry was a lifelong resident of the Newton area. For 25 years he had worked at Cargill/Horizon Milling in Newton as a Cereal Chemist, retiring in 1996. After retiring Harry became a “Mr. Fixit”, doing handyman and honeydojobs for many people in Newton.
He married Mary Sue Sadowsky on September 22, 1962 in Newton, they were later divorced. He married Nancy E. Daigle on January 10, 1987 in Menasha, Wisconsin, they were later divorced.
Harry attended the First Christian Church in Newton for many years.
Survivors include his daughter Carol Hiebert and husband Mike of Newton; sons Michael Hinton and wife Tonya of Mankato, Minnesota, Steven Hinton and wife Kelly of Mt. Holly Springs, PA., sister Billie Mae Vetter of Hesston, Ks.; grandchildren Austin Wayne Hiebert, Melissa Hinton, Christopher Hinton, Hilary Hinton, Cheyenne Hartman, Caleb Hostetter; and great grandchildren Erin Charlie Hinton, Gracie Ann Hinton, Sawyer Hinton, Zoey Jean Hartman, and Daisy May Hostetter.
Harry is preceded in death by his parents; brother Gene Hinton; sisters Mary Margaret Talbott, Elnora Fischer, and Pat Coffman.
Memorial graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, SEPTEMBER 28, 2018 at the Hillside Cemetery in Sedgwick, Kansas.
