Hironori "Jim" Warashina, 64, of Wichita, died Tuesday (Nov. 17, 2009) at his home.
He was born on June 16, 1945 in Yaizu City, Shizuoka Japan, the son of Hiroshi and Toshi Warashina.
On July 9, 1982, Jim married Cheryl E. Mitchell in Wichita, Ks.
Jim had worked for Agco, the former Hesston Corporation, during the late 70's and early 80's in their International Dept. He then worked for Dicky-John Corp., in Auburn, Ill., and later on worked at Tamiya Corp. in Aliso Viejo, Calif., until his retirement.
Survivors include is wife Cheryl of the home in Wichita; one son Ken Warashina; mother Toshi Warashina; brother Toshio Warashina; and two sisters Kyoko and Kazuko all of Japan.
Jim is preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday (Nov. 24, 2009) at the Broadway Colonial Funeral Home in Newton. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.
Visitation will be held prior to the service on Tuesday.
