James R. Hess, 59, died at his home in Newton on June 22, 2015.
He was born on June 22, 2015 in Newton, Kansas, the son Roberta (Pellnar) and Ira Hess Jr.
He graduated from Newton High School and then went on to earn some college credit at Wichita State University. While there he was part of the Kappa Sigma.
In his recent years, James was employed with Westco and then Walmart as butcher in the meat department.
He was a member of the Eagle's Lodge of Newton and was an avid motorcycle enthusiast.
He is survived by his sister, Kathleen Hess of Newton.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no services planned at this time.
