Jerry L. Fiedler, 67, died June 30, 2008 at the Galichia Heart Hospital in Wichita, Kansas.
He was born the son of Olive (Gaede) and Fred Fiedler in Beatrice, Nebraska.
Jerry served in the United States Air Force from 1959 to 1963 while spending time in Vietnam.
He enjoyed collecting items, especially lamps.
Jerry was a good family man. He enjoyed camping and fishing with his family and friends.
He is survived by 2 sons, Warren D. Fiedler, Wichita, Rodney D. Fiedler and wife Cyndi, Newton; daughter, Andrea Fiedler and Richard M. Gauthier, Newton; 3 brothers, Durwood Fiedler, Newton, Ray Fiedler, Kingman, Dennis Fiedler, Beatrice, NE; 5 grandchildren, Matthew, Kyle and Brandon Fiedler, Wichita, Marissa Gauthier, Newton and Lacie Fiedler, Newton.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gene Cox.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 6, 2008 from 1:00- 8:00 p.m. with the family greeting during this time.
Funeral Services will be on Monday, July 7, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at the First Mennonite Church in Newton, Kansas.
Burial will be at the Missionary Cemetery in rural Elbing, Kansas.
Memorials can be made to the Diabetes Foundation or the Kidney Association in care of the funeral home.
