Jo Lynne Evans died on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009. She was born on November 5, 1966, in Pratt, the daughter of Molly C. (Doty) and husband Robert Likins and her father Willard S. McKee.
She resided in Newton with her husband Ernest E. Evans. Jo loved riding motorcycles and playing bingo. She also enjoyed playing computer games and made many friends. When she wasn’t making people, laugh she was quietly crocheting.
Survivors include two sons, Anthony Scott Evans and Timothy E. Evans both of Newton; granddaughter Cassie Nicole Evans; brothers, Bobby Likins, and Patrick Likins both of PA; sisters, Dixie C. Jones of Pratt, KS., Lisa D. Fisher of Springfield, MO.
She was preceded in death by maternal grandmother Nellie Doty, paternal grandfather Cash Doty and her step-grandfather Leroy Doty.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 19th, 2009 at the American Legion Club at 10:00 A.M.
Memorials may be made to Harry Hynes Hospice or Kansas Cancer Center, in care of Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, 120 E. Broadway, Newton, KS 67114.
