Joanne Marie Suchy

Joanne Marie Suchy of Newton Kansas, born July 24th, 1948, in Manitowoc Wisconsin to Kenneth and Lilla Surfus, passed away peacefully at 5:45pm on March 18th.  She was with family at her time of passing. Joanne is survived by her husband Clarence Leroy Suchy of 56 years, her sister Katherine Kilroy, her daughters Rebecca Suchy-Frazier & Tiffany Hoover, Grandchildren Britney Ogbodo, Briana Ogbodo, Bridgett Ogbodo, Kendrick Ogbodo, Charles Frazier, Elizabeth Innello-Frazier, Jacob Hoover & Alawna Hoover and 7 Great Grandchildren. Joanne is preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Lilla Surfus, her daughter Lisa Ogbodo, and her brothers Jim and William Surfus.

Joanne graduated from Lincoln High School and married Clarence in 1967. She retired from American Red Cross and her favorite past time was shopping at Ross retail. She had numerous crafting hobbies throughout her life and regularly created hand-crafted gifts for her children and grandchildren. Joanne was a deeply spiritual person who loved without barriers or bias.

No formal funeral services will be offered at her wishes. She will be missed by everyone that knew her but her love will be eternally felt.
