JOHN M. UNRUH, 58, of Newton, died Wednesday (March 18, 2009) at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita.
John was born on August 13, 1950 in Newton, Ks., the son of Milton and Agnes Goering Unruh. He was raised in the Newton-Hesston area, graduating from Hesston High School
in 1968.
He married Cindi Botterweck on December 14, 1974 in Newton, they continued to lived
in Newton. John had worked as a maintenance electrician for the last 38 years at Agco’s
Hay and Forage.
John is survived by his wife Cindi of the home in Newton; two sons Chris Unruh and his wife Rebecca of Kansas City, Mo., and Mike Unruh and his wife Suzanne of Haysville;
two brothers Warren Unruh and Steve Unruh both of Newton; and three grandchildren Kenton and Cooper Unruh of Kansas City, and Kinlee Unruh of Haysville.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday (March 21, 2009) at
St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Newton. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Friday 1pm til 9pm. The family will receive friends
at the funeral home 6pm til 8pm.
