Julie Giles, was reunited with the Lord on March 7, 2010 at the Newton Medical Center.
She was born on July 22, 1963 the daughter of Carol (Madden) Russell and Richard Rosko in Wichita, Kansas.
On June 16, 2001 she married her soul mate Darron Giles, in Hutchinson, Kansas.
Julie was a member of the A.M.E. Baptist Church , Compassionate Friends, and a strong supporter and coordinator of the Newton chapter of the Cornelia de Lang Syndrome
Her love for her children and grandchildren was never-ending. She also enjoyed listening to Luther VanDross, sewing and home decorating.
Julie had formerly been a surgical technician at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.
She is survived by her husband, Darron, Newton, 3 daughters, Jadira Rosko, Wichita, Jamiah Rosko, Newton, Jabria Giles, Newton; step-daughter, Megan Giles, Wichita’ 1 son, Darron Giles II, Newton; 2 sisters, Malora Edwards, Wichita and Melissa Schroyer, Waco, Texas; 1 brother Christopher Petersen; 2 grandchildren, Jaeden and Marleigha.
Preceding her in death was her daughter Jaelah Giles and her father Richard Rosko.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 11th, 2010 at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, Newton, from 1:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with the family greeting from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.
A service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, March 12th, 2010 at 2:00 P.M.
Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Newton, Kansas.
Memorials may be made to the Cornelia de Lang Syndrome foundation, in care of the funeral home.
