LaDonna Joan Smith, 76, died Saturday (April 26, 2014) at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
She was born on July 17, 1937 in Dodge City, Ks., the daughter of Ralph M. and Maggie R. Rupert Smith, Sr. The family moved to Newton in 1945, LaDonna graduated from Newton High School.
She had been the office manager at Conklin Cars of Newton for several years. LaDonna had been a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Credit Professionals International, and the Society of Certified Consumer Executives.
Survivors include her brother Ralph Smith, Jr., and his wife Coke of Newton; nephews Mickey Smith of Phoenix, Az., and Mitchell Smith of Newton; and her two puppies she enjoyed so much, Charlie Brown and Snoopy.
LaDonna is preceded in death by her parents.
Graveside services will be held at10:00 A.M., Thursday (May 1, 2014) at the Restlawn Gardens of Memory near Newton.
The casket will remain closed.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with the Caring Hands Humane Society, contributions may be sent to Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, 120 E. Broadway, Newton, Ks., 67114.
