HESSTON:
Leroy “Sam” Banman, 84, of Hesston, died Monday (June 6, 2016) at the Schowalter Villa in Hesston, Ks.
He was born on August 13, 1931 in Marion County, Ks., the son of Samuel J. and Selma Schmidt Banman.
Survivors include Mary Ann Bartel of Alberta, Canada, Kermit “Sam” and Dolores Banman of Hesston, Sheryl and Jim Kelso of Dalhart, Tx., Glenda and Steve Cardwell of Ontario, Canada, Max and Tara Miller of Ft. Worth, Tx.; and a host of grandchildren, great-granchildren, nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held 3:00 P.M., Sunday, June 12 in the chapel of Schowalter Villa in Hesston. Private family inurnment will be in the Walton Cemetery in Walton, Ks.
A memorial has been established with the Mennonite Central Committee, contributions may be sent to Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, 120 E. Broadway, Newton, Ks. 67114
