Linda G. Hill, 54, of Newton, died Monday (March 11, 2013) at her home.
Linda Gayle Hill was born on June 3, 1958 in Oklahoma City, OK. Her parents are Harold T Perciful (deceased) and Edwina Alvarez and Arturo Alvarez Jr. (stepfather).
She is survived by her son, Daniel Hill, her daughter, Emily Maker, and her granddaughter, Allison Maker, her brothers Harold Elias-Perciful and Arturo Alvarez III, her sisters Marie Lopez and Rosita Alvarez, and 4 nephews and 7 nieces.
In her youth, she enjoyed art, ceramics, and singing in church and school choirs. She worked as a church secretary for Hillcrest Christian Church in Oklahoma City, an office administrator for the Disciples Foundation of Oklahoma and thoroughly enjoyed her work the last five years with the Kansas Christian Home, as Director of Development.
She loved her granddaughter, her one and only, Allison. She enjoyed painting and developed her arts and craft talents. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and being a good friend. She was a jewel in life for many friends, the example of loving dignity. She was kind to all she met and never judged another. She was a Christian with a well-developed faith. God’s love and support was her strength in her time of trial. God’s grace was delivered to her through the hands of her many friends, especially those here at Kansas Christian Center.
Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. Proverbs 31:25-26
