Loretta Baird, 69, went to be with the Lord on June 18, 2011.
She was born on September 20, 1941 to Thelma (Blecher) and George Klein in Wichita, Kansas.
Loretta worked in the retail industry the majority of her lifetime.
She attended the First Missionary Church in Newton, Kansas and also was a member of the American Legion of Newton, Kansas.
Loretta enjoyed her crafts and crocheting. She also loved to bake cookies for her family.
Preceding her in death were her parents, a sister, Anna Edgerton and brother, George Klein III.
Survivors include 3 sons, Kevin (Cathy) Baird, Brian (Becky) Baird and Todd Baird, all of Newton; daughter, Leslie (Craig) Cannady, Wichita; 3 sisters, Katherine Sollers, Wichita, Delores Wise, Tulsa, OK and Leona “Margaret” Royston, Fredonia, KS; 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, and her beloved k-9 companion, “Tink”.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home from 1:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with the family greeting from 6:00 P.M.to 8:00 P.M.
Graveside Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, June 23rd at 3:00 P.M., in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Pastor Ray A. Adams and Associate Pastor Daniel Quinlin will be presiding.
