Louis A. Ainsworth, 58, died on January 7, 2014 at his home in Newton, Kansas.
He was born on August 3, 1955 in Newton, the son of Elsie Louise Soth and Clayton Avery Ainsworth Jr.
Louis worked as a welder and carpenter for many years. During this time, he made many, many friends which he cherished. His favorite pastimes were fishing, feeding various animals and helping others. Above all, Louis loved and enjoyed time spent with his grandkids and family.
Louis held a membership with St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Newton, Kansas.
Louis fought a good fight, he finished the race. With his strong faith, he was the winner in the battle with cancer.
Preceding him in death were his parents, 3 nephews, Samuel Fayette, John Birkel Jr., Clay Ainsworth IV; two brother-in-laws, Don Fayette and John Hayes; grandson, Dylan Anthony Ainsworth.
Survivors include a son, Tony and wife, Elisa Dee Ainsworth, Newton; daughter, Miranda Louise Ainsworth, Newton; three brothers, Clayton (Buzzy) A.III and wife Yvonne, San Antonio, TX., Jerry J. and wife Irene Ainsworth, Springdale, AR., Timothy A. Ainsworth, Newton; 6 sisters, Barbara Fayette, Newton, Shirley A. and husband Richard (Sam) Harvey, Fox, AR., Frances J. Hayes, Newton, Susan K. and husband John Birkle, Newton, Regina K. Busby and companion David Henney, Newton, Rebecca L. and husband Jim Seger, Newton; 7 grandchildren, Lindsey Ainsworth, Tucker Ainsworth, Aaliyah Ainsworth, Arien Ainsworth, Farrah Gilmere, April Vidacs and Alex Vidacs; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home Chapel from 1:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. with the family greeting guests at 5:00P.M.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be on Sunday, January 12, at 6:00 P.M. at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, January 13, 2014 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Newton. Father James Mainzer will be officiating.
Burial will follow at the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the St. Mary’s Catholic School, American Cancer Society or the Louis A. Ainsworth Memorial Fund, in care of the funeral home at 120 E. Broadway, Newton, Kansas 67114.
