Louis Joseph Brouillard, Sr., 78, of Newton, died Saturday (May 8, 2010) in Abilene, Ks.
He was born on February 5, 1932 in Morristown, New Jersey. During the Korean Conflict Louis served in the U.S. Navy. He later served in the National Guard based in Newton.
He married Patsy L. Cole. Louis worked for many years as a machinist. Having lived in the area off and on for several years, he finally settled in Newton in 1998. Louis was very active for many years with the local A.A. group.
Survivors include his children Louis J. Brouillard, Jr. of El Dorado, Ks.; Sabrina Brouillard of Newton and Yvonne Dennett of Wellington, Ks., Randy Wilcome of Ontario, Calif., Ronald Wilcome of Salina, Ks. and Thomas Wilcome of Modesto, Calif., Victoria Taylor of Newton and Bonita Hartzell of Bennington, Ks.; 20 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren.
Louis is preceded in death by his parents; son James R. Wilcome; grandson Daniel G. Wilcome; great grandson Elijah Young.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Friday (May 14, 2010) at the Broadway Colonial Funeral Home in Newton.
There will be no visitation.
