Luella A. Cole, 93, died on March 30, 2010 at Asbury Park, Newton, Kansas.
She was born on June 17, 1916 to Ivah P. (Clemens) and Roy H. Zingery in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.
On January 27, 1937 she married Arthur Thomas Cole in Mt. Pleasant, MI. He precedes her in death.
Luella was a homemaker most of her life. Luella and Arthur made their home in Liberal. After Arthur died, Luella moved to Newton in 2001. While in Liberal she was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Beauceant.
She held a membership with the First United Methodist Church in Liberal. Upon relocating to Newton, she transferred her membership to the Salem United Methodist Church. She was active in the church and with volunteering at Asbury Park.
Survivors include 4 daughters, Patricia Ann DeVoss (Phillip) of Wichita, Karen Kay Malcom (Larry) of Haysville, Susan Jean Clanton (Steven) of Minneapolis, KS and Katherine Louise Finlay of Overland Park; 1 son, David William Cole (Ginger) of Olathe; 3 brothers, William E. Zingery, Shepard, MI, Gale Zingery, Mt. Pleasant, MI and Dale Zingery, MI, Clare, MI; daughter-in-law, Sharon Cole, Decatur, IL; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse , son, Arthur Thomas Cole Jr., and daughter-in-law, Terry Cole; brother, Durward Zingery, sister, Velma Janette Burke, son-in-law, John Finlay
Visitation will be on Friday, April 2, 2010 at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home from 1:00 to 9:00 P.M. with the family greeting from 6:00 -7:00 P.M.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at the funeral home at 10:00 A.M. with Dr. J. Tal Tittsworth presiding.
Burial will be held at 4:00 P.M. at the Restlawn Cemetery in Liberal, Kansas.
