NEWTON:
Martin Edward Wetschensky, 58, died Monday (October 10, 2016) at his home in Newton.
The son of Harold M. and Ethel Elizabeth Brunner, he was born on October 29, 1957 in Oklahoma. Martin was raised and attended schools in Newton. He was married to Pam Kyle.
He had worked at Builders Concrete and was a truck driver for Sports, Inc., in Newton. Martin enjoyed watching Western movies and John Wayne, as well as working in his garden growing tomatoes. He was very artistic and enjoyed spending time with his dog Tanner.
Survivors include his son Michael Wetschensky and daughter Shawn Wetschensky; mother Ethel Wetschensky; sister Mary Collier and her husband Tom, all of Newton; and three grandchildren Keaton, Lakin and Hayley.
He is preceded in death by his father.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday (October 15, 2016) at the Broadway Colonial Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
There will be no visitation or viewing as cremation has been effected.
