Marvin G. Heubach, 72, died Monday (April 14, 2014) at his home.
He was born on February 3, 1942 at the family home in South Haven, Ks., the son of Henry and Florence Heubach. The family later moved to Valley Center where Marvin graduated from high school.
Marvin married Bonnie Peters on June 15, 1975 in Hutchinson, Ks. Shortly after the “Heubach Bunch” moved to rural Sedgwick where they continued to live. Marvin worked in the aircraft industry for many years,he later went to work in Newton for Norcraft in the assembly and inventory department, retiring in 2002.. Marvin and Bonnie delivered the Wichita Eagle newspaper for over 30 years.
Survivors include his wife Bonnie of the home; children Jeff and wife Carol of Sedgwick, Ks., Greg and wife Jean of Lumberton, N.C., Yvette and husband Steve of Wichita, Lisa of Wichita, and Anthony of Wichita; step-children Kenneth and wife Lela of Connell, WA., and Keith of Newton; sisters Evelyn Gardener of Newton, Eleanor Kehl of Newton, Wanita Brooks and husband Lee of Moore, OK.; sister-in-law Sheila Heubach of Newton; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
Marvin is preceded in death by his parents; sister Elma Connet; and brother Melvin Heubach.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday (April 16, 2014) at the Broadway Colonial Funeral Home in Newton. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening betwee 7 and 9pm.
A memorial has been established with Good Shepherd Hospice, contributions may be sent to Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, 120 E. Broadway, Newton, Ks. 67114.
