Maxine G. Dickson

Maxine G. Dickson passed away Sunday (June 13, 2010). She was a resident of the Kansas Christian Home in Newton, Ks.

Maxine was born April 6, 1917, near Whitewater, Kansas on her family farm, the daughter of Alpha and Colista Gates. She attended school at Annley and Whitewater, Ks.
Maxine was married to C.L. Dickson in the late 1930’s.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Newton. She retired in 1982 as a secretary at Prairie View in Newton. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Maxine is survived by one son Jerry Dickson of Carefree, Az.; three grandchildren Randy Dickson of Lawrence, Ks., Shelly Dickson Wilsey of Maple Hill, Ks. and Sean Dickson of Tulsa, Okla.; four great grandchildren Cassidy and Ethan Wilsey, Haley and Ryan Dickson.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband on Feb. 3, 2008; one son Robert Dickson; her sister Mona Gates Arthur; her brother Floyd Gates.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday (June 17, 2010) at the Broadway Colonial Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday 1pm til 9pm where there family will receive friends 6 til 8pm and Thursday 9am til service time.

A memorial has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, contributions may be sent to the funeral home.
