Paul James O'Brien was reunited with his beloved Mary in heaven on August 1st, 2024, at age 85.
He graduated from St. Agnes High School in 1957. He walked in this world with a steady and true faith. He actively served his church, as well as his community, serving as a Sergeant in the Army and 42 years on the Santa Fe/BNSF railroad. He was married to the love of his life Mary in 1970. He was the one who never stopped believing in all of us. He brightened every room with his smile, kindness and charm. He brought so much light to our world through his joy and faith in God. He was always singing “Alleluia” intermittently, lighting up our hearts as he did. He said it best, “I love my family and I love my church.” He was preceded in death by his father Harry Joseph, mother Mary Helen, brothers Richard and Harry, sisters Rosemarie, Anna Fredricka, Phyllis, Brigetta, wife Mary, daughter Connie, and grandson Larry. He is survived by his sister Mary Ellen and brother Edward, his children Michael, James and Teresa, eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and many beloved friends and family.
