Rafael Lizcano

Rafael Lizcano, 66, died Friday (February 5, 2021) at the Newton Medical Center.

He was born on August 18, 1954 in Chihuahua, Mexico the son of Manuel Lizcano and Augustina Acosta. Rafael married Eloisa Cisneros on September 9, 1973 in Mexico City, Mexico.

He moved to Newton in April, 2001 and most recently had worked at White Wing Construction.

Survivors include his wife Eloisa Lizcano of the home; son Sergio Lizcano and wife Victoria, and son Alfredo Lizcano all of Newton; daughter Elizabeth Lizcano of Mexico; 10 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Rafael is also survived by his brothers Rene, Jorge, and Manuel; and sisters Teresa, Hilda and Carmen all of Mexico.

He is preceded in death by his parent and several siblings.

The casket will be open at the funeral home on Tuesday (February 9, 2021) between 1:00 P.M. and 5:00 P.M.

The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 6:00 P.M., on Tuesday (Feb. 9th) with the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday (Feb. 10^th), both at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Newton. Inurnment will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Newton.
