Ramona Sifuentez, 88, went to be with her heavenly father on February 7, 2009 at the Kansas Christian Home in Newton, Kansas.
She was born on February 18, 1920 in Roper, Kansas, the daughter of Luiz (Perez) and Gorgonia Hernandez.
On November 27, 1940 she married Jose Cosme Sifuentez in Newton Kansas.
Ramona was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and the Ladies Altar Society, both of Newton, Kansas. Ramona and Jose enjoyed socializing and dancing. She also enjoyed crocheting with her sister Connie.
Preceding her in death was her spouse, her parents, and three sisters, Connie Terrones, Angel Ramirez and Florida Terrones.
Survivors include 8 children, Jessie Maria Aranda, El Paso, TX, Victoria Ann Carrion, Newton, KS, Enriqueta “Ricki” Valdez, Newton, KS,Micaela Kincade, Seattle, WA, Cecilia Sifuentez, Newton, KS, Julie Ann White, Fallon, Nevada, Dario Sifuentez, Newton, Kansas and Ruben Sifuentez, Newton, Kansas.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will held at 7:00 P.M , Monday, February, 9th at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Newton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 10th, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church,, with Reverend Juan Garza presiding.
