Renee’ Gladys Weston, 97, of Newton, died Friday (Feb. 12, 2010) at the Kansas Christian Home in Newton.
She was born on March 10, 1912 in Maidstone Kent, London, England, the daughter of Charles and Nellie Goodfield Weston. She moved with her parents to the United States in 1913.
Renee’ had worked for the Fred Harvey Laundry for several years. She had also worked for five years as a medical aide at Friendly Acres Retirement Community in Newton.
She had been a member of the First United Methodist Church in Newton.
Renee’ is preceded in death by her parents and one sister Phyllis Crain.
Private graveside services and interment will be held at the Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.
Friends may call at the funeral home 9am til 5pm on Monday (Feb. 15, 2010).
A memorial has been established with the First United Methodist Church and the American Diabetes Association, contributions may be left at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, 120 E. Broadway, Newton, Ks. 67114
