Richard B. Hogan, died on April 10, 2012 at the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.
He was born December 2, 1940 the son of Alice Mae (Billings) and Morris Richard Hogan.
Richard graduated high school in 1958 and enlisted in the United States Navy on October 28, 1958. He was medically discharged on March 1, 1962.
After the service Richard worked as a photographer for the Newton Kansan. His love for photography became a favorite past time.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Judy Koerner.
Survivors include his 4 children Kelly Kathleen Hogan, Wichita, KS; 3 sons, Michael Richard and wife Jana, Valley Center, Timothy Patrick and wife Sonya, Lawrence, KS, and Daniel Philip and wife Holly, Hutchinson, KS; 7 grandchildren, Bailey, Ethan, Noah, Caleb, Judith, Kasey and Corey; 2 sisters, Jane and husband Marvin Rutschman, Dodge City, KS and Nancy and husband Jim McFarlane, along with many nieces and nephews.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, on Sunday, April 15th, 2012 at 6:00 P.M. led by Father James Mainzer. The public visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with the family greeting from 5:00 P.M. until Rosary time.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, April 16th, 2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 10:30 A.M.
Inurnment will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Newton, Kansas. United States Naval Honor Guard will present honors.
