Robert “Bob” Jonas Adamson, age 51, died on January 22nd, 2025, in Newton, Kansas.
Bob was born on September 7, 1973, in Emporia, Kansas to Philip and Margaret (Morrison) Adamson. While studying at Emporia State, Bob met the love of his life, Rebecca “Becca” Regier. They were married on May 28, 1994. After he graduated from college with a finance degree, Bob and Becca began the first of many ministry positions as house parents in Indiana, followed in later years by service as church camp directors in Arkansas. Bob and Becca enjoyed working full time together as a couple in ministry for a total of 16 years. Bob also worked at SRS in Newton and most recently worked as a Bank Examiner for the State of Kansas.
At a young age, Bob realized his need for Christ and put his faith in Him, learning and growing in his relationship with God alongside his parents and sister. His heart was ignited for Christ after a traumatic event in 8th grade that united his church and drove himself and others closer to Christ.
Bob’s ministry was his profession and his passion. Bob served in various roles at church, especially involved with Men’s Ministry, Men’s Encounter, and numerous youth ministries, leading many men on their faith journey.
Bob was also passionate about his family, faithfully leading them spiritually. He was involved with all of his children’s adventures, leading them all to Christ at an early age and always eager to go for a hike, take a trip to the coffee shop, or work on a project with them. Bob delighted in watching his children grow and find their own interests and life paths, which included all three getting married in the last eighteen months. He encouraged his family to go where God guided them and to follow Christ with his example. Bob became a grandpa in December; his granddaughter was immediately the twinkle in his eye. Every moment with her was precious.
Bob is survived by his wife, Becca Adamson, of Newton; his children, Andrew (Hannah) Adamson, of Newton; Emily (Jonathan) Paden, of Olathe; Hannah (Garrett) Will, of Newton; his granddaughter, Abigail Will, of Newton; his parents, Philip and Margaret Adamson, of Newton; his mother-in-law, Clara Regier, of Hesston; His brother-in-law, Colin O’Neill, of Halstead; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister, DeAnn O’Neill; and his father-in-law, Arlen Regier.

The funeral is on Tuesday, January 28 at 11am. in the chapel at Grace Community Church in Newton, Kansas. Graveside following service at Greenwood Cemetery.
